Summary

  • add an installable mobile PWA companion with iPhone-safe header and fixed-row navigation
  • provide focused phone workflows for recipes, imports, menu, shopping tickets, pantry, and barcode scanning
  • keep recipe images local while supporting Apple Live Text copy/paste imports
  • add pantry free-text AI processing and compact product dietary review
  • preserve desktop behavior while lazy-loading mobile-only features

Why

The existing responsive web interface exposed desktop administration screens on phones and did not match the focused workflows of the iOS companion. This change gives the PWA dedicated mobile views while retaining the same backend and data.

Validation

  • TypeScript application and Playwright type checks
  • 11 mobile Playwright scenarios
  • full production Vite build
  • JavaScript bundle budgets, including separate lazy mobile and barcode scanner budgets
